Abstract submission

Attendees are allowed to submit abstracts for original contributions to the field of DMFR only (the abstract must not have been published elsewhere). The applicant must be a member of IADMFR at the time of the Congress - they do not need to be a member at the time of abstract submission.

Each presenting author is allowed to present up to 2 abstracts with one paid registration.

If an abstract is accepted you will be given the option to present it as either an oral presentation or a poster - you can highlight your preference when submitting the abstract.

Criteria
Original research limited to any aspect of maxillofacial imaging will be considered. It will be judged on:
Originality and design of the study
Quality of produced data
Suitability of the methods of analysis used
Scientific value of the work
Topic list
Digital Dentistry
Soft Tissue Imaging
Artificial Intelligence
Technological Imaging Advances
Diagnostic Imaging
Head and Neck Imaging

Abstract guidelines
GENERAL
• The abstract must be written in English

TITLE
• Should not exceed 150 characters
• Use non-capitalized font
• Spell out all words
• Do not use abbreviations
• Check that your title is complete in case you copy and paste it into the field

AUTHORS & AFFILIATIONS​
You may enter up to 12 authors in the authors list and up to 10 affiliations. The presenter must be one of the authors listed in the submitted abstract. The names of authors will be published as listed in the submission form. Please make sure you have entered the full list of authors.
BODY TEXT
• The text should be arranged using the following headings:
Aim
Material and Methods
Results
Conclusion
• The body text should not exceed 250 words
Some more guidelines

Do not include grant acknowledgements in the abstract content.

Do not cite keywords or references in the abstract, as they are not allowed and will be deleted.

Selection
The abstract will be accepted according to scientific merit. The final selection of abstracts will be performed by the Local Organising Scientific Committee after the final deadline of Sunday 15th December 2024 has closed and before the deadline for early bird registration for the congress. The corresponding authors will be notified about the outcome (accepted or not accepted) of the review process.
Please ensure that the email address provided during the abstract submission is accurate, as all correspondence will be via email.

NOTE: Membership to IADMFR & registration for both days of the Congress will be compulsory for all presenting authors. Failure to do this before the deadline will lead to exclusion of the accepted abstract from the final programme.
