Radiographic examination is essential in all stages of endodontic treatment, from diagnosis and treatment planning to follow-up of each case. For decades, periapical and panoramic radiography has been the imaging modality of choice. However, such techniques are limited by their inherent 2D nature. The introduction of CBCT in dentistry provided us with a diagnostic tool that overcomes this limitation and has become a universally accepted method for imaging hard tissues in the maxilla and mandible. During the presentation different imaging techniques, from basic periapical radiographs to more advanced modalities, will be discussed to resolve complex endodontic problems.
